A new year and a changing community…our efforts to build relationships among ministry leaders in SLP and with our neighbors in the Park have taken on a variety of shapes over recent years. As we head into 2016, we look forward to the new and surprising ways God may invite us into God’s work in this community – as individuals, as congregations, as organizations and as a whole community.

We have said goodbye to several faith community leaders and clergy this past year, wishing them well in retirement, in new calls and in new adventures. We also have several new faith leaders recently joining us in St. Louis Park and are enjoying the new friendships and energy they bring.

Whether you’ve been in SLP for decades or are new to the neighborhood, we hope you will feel the welcome to join us at the the Table!

Faith Community Table provides a variety of ways for leaders from our faith communities to connect with one another.

MONTHLY PRAYER BREAKFASTS

Most months a prayer breakfast is hosted at congregations around the community. We typically meet the last Monday of the month from 9:30-10:30am with some exceptions to accommodate for holidays. This is time to connect with ministry colleagues, discuss a variety of topics of importance and spend time in prayer together with and for each other and our SLP community.

HAPPY HOURS & COFFEE BREAKS

Occasionally more informal happy hours or coffee breaks are planned. No agendas, just time and space for fellowship and connection.

PATHWAYS TO PARTNERSHIP

The Faith Community Table is committed to being in ministry together in creative ways as we share a call to this SLP community. FCT has been hosting Pathways to Partnership, a community wide effort committed to social and economic wellness for all our SLP neighbors. We have brought together community leaders throughout 2015 in a variety of ways to determine how we might create new infrastructure and a resource hub to help people navigate and connect to support in our community. For more on this effort, check out the Pathways to Partnership facebook page.
